The Old Florida Feel of Anna Maria Island with Pictures

Take a trip back through the years to Anna Maria Island to see the beginnings of this beautiful island and how much it’s changed.

Did you know that Holmes Beach once had it’s own airstrip? Construction began in 1948 by Jack Holmes and closed in mid-70s. Before the airstrip was completed, it was used as a filming location for “On An Island With You.”
